Lebanon – The Peacekeeper Indobatt XXIII-R Unifil 2024 with a sense of friendship and a message of peace through the CIMIC Staff held an Education Program at Ganduriyah Public School to provide joy and education to children in South Lebanon, Tuesday (30/4/2024).
The smiles and joy of the children radiated when they were given drawing books and coloured pencils, then cheerfully colouring pictures with their favourite cheerful colours guided by the Peacekeepers of Indobatt XXIII-R Unifil 2024 with tenderness and affection.
Seen in another class, the Task Force dentist Lieutenant Ckm (K) drg. Amanda Angger Amelia and the Cimic Team provided education on how to maintain oral and dental health. The children were very enthusiastic to see the video shown and the explanation from drg. Amanda on how to maintain and brush their teeth properly.
“I invite children to learn while playing, so they can easily accept the material I convey happily, then we distribute toothpaste and toothbrushes to them one by one”, explained drg. Amanda.
Meanwhile, School Director Mr Ahmad Kdouh welcomed the arrival of the Indonesian Peacekeepers, and was very grateful for the activities carried out at his school.
The activity ended with a group photo of all students and teachers as a sign of friendship, and the handover of mementos by Chief of Staf Cimic Major Chk Eka Yudha Kurniawan, S.H. in the form of blangkon and shawl as an introduction to Indonesian culture and a symbol of brotherhood.
